Tips for saving money

There are some people out there who get so excited about couponing they wasting money. Are you confused yet? Aren't coupons supposed to save money? Yes coupons save you lots of money. Here is where over excitement costs you money. Even if something is cheap if you don't/won't use it don't buy it. Well unless it's free (then even if you won't use it you can give it away and feel great) By spending money on things you don't use you are in fact wasting money. $1.00 might not seem like a lot of money right. If you were to purchase just 5 $1.00 items you know you won't use each week you are wasting $260 a year. That's more than I hope to spend on groceries in one month. Can you see how that adds up? Even if you buy a free item in some cases you are paying the tax on the item which can add up real quickly if you are getting multiple free items. My point you might ask. If you know you will never use it and it's not an item you can donate to charity. Don't buy it. Instead give the coupon to someone who will use it. Then you can really feel good.
